Melody Shel Silverstein

A long time ago on a little green isle
Lived a charming people with legendary smiles
Now we’re all around the world in every place that can be seen
And we always throw a party on March 17

Now there’s no hand sanitizer, no Tylenol
No toilet paper, and no basketball
They’ve cancelled all the parties, and they cancelled the parade
But we’re still celebrating Saint Patrick’s Day

Along came a virus to slow us all down
Now the schools are closed, and nobodys downtown
It’s name is Corona alas it’s not a beer
But it not gonna to stop us from spreading good cheer

there’s no hand sanitizer, no Tylenol
No toilet paper, and no basketball
They’ve cancelled all the parties, and they cancelled the parade
But we’re still celebrating Saint Patrick’s Day

We’ve got stories, and board games, and Legos and songs
Tea and scones and butter, at home where we belong
St Patrick grant us patience that we all get along
So we don’t end up like the Unicorn

there’s no hand sanitizer, no Tylenol
No toilet paper, and no basketball
They’ve cancelled all the parties, and they cancelled the parade
But we’re still celebrating Saint Patrick’s Day
